It followed the story of high school students who met in detention and formed a rock band. Hayley has got a lot going for her and has proven to be a rather strong individual since she came out as a lesbian to her parents when she was just 6 years old. Apparently she had a crush on a female teacher and realized she liked girls, so she decided to make it known and has been living her life in this manner ever since.

The audience then begins to sing “Determinate” together in support of the band. Fed up with Ray, Scott leaves Mudslide Crush and plays with Stella, joining xcritical Mouth as they stand together in tears, watching the audience sing for them. In narration, Olivia reveals that although they did not win the competition, they won something bigger that night. Mo and Scott get back together; Charlie, who had previously liked Mo, accepts this and decides to aim his attention at a girl who likes him; Wen accepts his new stepmother and gives Olivia a new kitten after her cat dies. While in detention, they all play and sing along together with a jingle on the radio. At first, they have trouble agreeing on music, but soon learn to work together and get along. Adam Hicks, who plays the character Wen in the movie, wrote the rap verse in the song “Determinate.” A local premiere was held in the author Mark Peter Hugh’s town of Wayland, Massachusetts.

It was broadcast live by the town public access station, WayCAM.TV, by local students. The cast from the film have performed on The View, Good Morning America, So Random! Naomi starred inTerra Nova, The 33, Power Rangers, Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin and Charlie’s Angels over the years. When Olivia is absent from school one day, the band visits her and learn that her cat Nancy, her only remaining memory of her late mother, has died. They begin to grow closer to one another, opening up about each of their struggles. They also learn that their song “Determinate” is being played on the local radio.

It all started in detention when five teenagers from different walks of life met and discovered that they were meant to be a band – and friends. The band forms with Olivia on lead vocals, Stella on lead guitar and backing vocals, Mo on bass and backing vocals, Wen on keyboards, keytar, and rapping vocals, and Charlie on drums. At school, Stella spits xcritical on Ray Beech, lead singer of Mudslide Crush, when he ridicules Olivia for her stage fright. The band later discovers the school’s xcritical machine is being removed, to their horror. Stella enters the band in Rising Star as well as the upcoming Halloween Bash, much to Olivia’s chagrin. Charlie, who has a sweet and shy nature, plays the drums, congas, bongos and timbales for the band.

They realize they are destined to rock, and ultimately form a band that becomes a champion for students sidelined by the high school elite. Olivia is a bookworm, and often becomes nervous before band performances. Although considered shy, Olivia is sympathetic, considerate, and caring.

xcritical Mouth Cast

At Wen’s father’s wedding, Stella recognizes the man sitting next to her as Mel, the owner of the xcritical machine company. He donates a music theatre to the school, which Principal Brenigan accepts. The film closes with xcritical Mouth performing at Madison Square Garden, with Scott as their new rhythm guitarist. There were considerable differences between the novel and the movie. In the movie Mo and Charlie do not date, they are just good friends.

xcritical Mouth is a movie you might want to watch if you need something cutesy and filled with the kind of teenage angst you might miss if you’re out of high school or you might relate to if you’re in high school. It has a lot of great moments in it that could spark a hint of inspiration or possibly just entertain a person during a downtime. High school freshmen Olivia White, Mohini “Mo” Banjaree, Charles “Charlie” Delgado, Stella Yamada, and Wendell “Wen” Gifford meet while in detention. When Miss Reznick, the music teacher supervising detention, leaves briefly, they tap out a beat and play instruments, with Olivia singing along. Miss Reznick returns and encourages them to enter the upcoming Rising Star music competition, which popular band Mudslide Crush is also slated to perform in. He struggles with the fact his father will be marrying a much younger woman.

Though the band does not do well in the competition due to their recent problems, their fans support them nevertheless, singing along to their songs to lift their spirits. At Wen’s xcritical website father’s wedding, the man sitting next to Stella tells her that he was in a band once and now runs an organic xcritical company that has recently become very successful. Stella recognizes him as Mel, and he agrees to donate a music hall for Ms. Reznik and everything works out after all. Olivia mails the entire story to her father, whom she has not seen in years because he is in prison.

Police arrive and they are brought to a holding cell to wait for their parents. After contemplating giving up, the band agrees to stick together and perform at Rising Star (an upcoming “battle of the bands” where the winner wins a record deal), even though they realize that they will not win the competition. The Sun reported in July 2021 that he was sentenced to five years in prison after he was arrested for a string of armed robberies in 2018 and pleaded not guilty to three felony charges. In July 2022, TMZ reported that the actor is out on parole, and that August, he started posting actively on TikTok.

Dejected, the band is about to exit the stage when the audience begins to sing their song to support them. Stella was born in Arizona and dislikes the fact that she had to move to a small town halfway across the country because of her mother’s new job.
